Emma Halls
Originating from London, I feel very privileged to now live and work in the beautiful county of Suffolk. I worked in a wide variety of industries, including music, before deciding to retrain. Having volunteered in various specialisms such as dietetics, radiology and occupational therapy during my days off, the Chief Executive of the company where I was working encouraged me to pursue my dream to work in speech and language therapy. Having supported me by providing a flexible working pattern so that I could attend lectures and still work a full week, I feel even more driven to repay this kindness and belief in my ability by being the best therapist I possibly can. After qualifying from University, I worked in the NHS, with a community clinic, group therapy and school caseload. It was here that I first met Mags. Inspired by her vision and drive I joined the TCT family 7 years ago and am lucky to work within a team of wonderfully talented therapists. I do not believe that ‘one size fits all’ and the TCT ethos means that every child benefits from a holistic approach to empower them to reach their own unique potential.
I have experience and training in working with a wide range of speech and language needs and a particular interest in speech sound disorders.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, music and art/crafts, but truthfully I rarely have much free time as we are ‘staff’ to a small, energetic and very sassy rescue cat!
