Emma Muntingh
Having spent most of my adult life in South East Asia, following my husband's career and starting our family together, I was introduced to the world of Occupational Therapy when my son was diagnosed with a brain tumour. I was inspired by the profession's strengths-based approach to supporting individuals to achieve tasks, activities and goals that are meaningful and important to them; and so, in 2021 I decided to return to university and retrain as an Occupational Therapist.
Since graduating I have worked predominantly in educational settings, supporting children to feel confident and secure in their learning environment as well as collaborating with parents and educators to develop and implement strategies that support their child or student's ability to function and participate effectively in the classroom and at home.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, watching trashy TV, going to live comedy and taking long walks with my wonderful labrador, Buddy and my crazy cocker spaniel, Dot.
