Emma Spence
Hello my name is Emma. I first met an Occupational Therapist when volunteering in Thailand and then again when working as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant in Norwich, these encounters inspired me to complete my Masters in Occupational Therapy. I was excited to find a career that enables me to work so closely with people, find out what is meaningful to them and help to promote independence in their daily lives- whatever their age!
I have always loved working with children and have had the privilege of working as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist in the NHS and have experience in working with a variety of conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), Neuromuscular Conditions and Learning Disabilities. I love getting to know the children and their families and working together to make therapy fun and meaningful.
I love being outside and going on walks or, if the weather allows, paddleboarding. The three most important things in my life are my husband, my pets and finding joy in everyday life.
