Hello! I'm very excited to be joining Two Can Talk as an Occupational Therapist. I graduated from The University of East Anglia (UEA) and whilst there I had the incredible opportunity to spend two months on a placement in Uganda for a Christian children's charity called Watoto. Once I graduated, I spent a few months travelling the US and then headed straight back to Uganda to volunteer as a now qualified OT for a year and a half. In this time, I worked with children with a range of needs including cerebral palsy, autism, complex trauma and developmental delays. I maintain great bonds with the children and staff I worked with and plan to visit yearly to continue my volunteering work there. 

Growing up I had never heard of OT, it was only when my older sister trained to be an OT that I found out about the profession. I went a different way and pursued my interest in American History and spent 4 years studying for a degree in that instead, also at UEA. It was only after graduating and working for a church for two years that I attended a talk by an OT who started a charity on making churches more accessible for people with additional needs. It was from this that I realised how broad OT is as a profession and how perfectly it fit my career goals of making daily life and activities accessible. Working with children has always been my passion, especially children with autism since I grew up with a sibling and cousin with autism. Children always make me laugh and I love doing therapy sessions that are based around making great progress but having good fun whilst doing it. 

In my free time I love to spend it outside with my friends and family or at church. I love travelling, running, paddle boarding and hiking - especially in the Lake District.
